Captured Laughs

We finally got Isaiah laughing on video. It's not a lot, but you'll see. He laughs at the weirdest times and things. He laughs at something a few times and then it's not funny any more. I was singing him an old Oakridge Boys tune and he thought it was funny. I stopped singing until Brian could get the video camera and then started singing it again. It takes a few seconds for him to remember it's funny! You don't have to watch the whole thing, I haven't figured out how to edit videos yet.

Surfin'

Okay, I know you don't get on here to see pics of me, but I found these pics. I'm trying to convert from Mac to PC. I never even had these pics printed. Here's proof that I did learn to surf. Hawaii Trip 2008

The guy in the yellow is dad! That is how he "surfed".

Just Joking! Dad did surf, but they didn't get any
pictures of him. He did have battle scars to prove it.

Bassinett & Big Boy Bed

Isaiah slept all night last night. But, mommy and daddy didn't. I was up at 2:15AM to check on him b/c I heard him moving around and daddy was up at 4:00AM to cover him back up. He hasn't slept all night for about 6 weeks. He's getting too big for his bassinet and will soon have to be moved to his big boy bed.

Theses are pics of him "trying out" his big boy bed. He has so much room in there. The pic with the yellow blanket is the blanket my mom made for me when I was a baby. And the patchwork quilt is the quilt my mom made for baby Isaiah. He looks like he's going to like it in there.

Introducing Isaiah Matthew

Our son--an amazing wonderous gift from above. We've been very busy adjusting to being new parents. There is nothing better in this world. I don't care how much less sleep or time for myself, he is the love of our lives. We marvel everyday at him and how quickly he changes and learns new things. He is utterly irresistable...
A few quick Isaiah facts:
1. loves to smile
2. loves to be sung to (we laugh and say he must be tone deaf b/c our singing is pretty horrendous)
3. loves to eat (he's going to get cereal for the first time tonight)
4. becoming an expert at putting everything in his mouth
5. loves taking baths
6. is REALLY trying to roll over completely (slow down, baby!)

FINALLY! THANK YOU AMBER!

My first post. My more than gracious cousin set up this blog for us. It's still under construction, so bear with us. Hopefully, I'll be able to figure it all out. Oh, and how I wish our road looked like the picture above right now-instead it's dreary and MUDDY!
